Established in 2006, Il Ridotto is the brainchild of Aciugheta’s renowned chef, Gianni Bonnaccorsi, who wanted to open a new restaurant in Venice.
The restaurant’s kitchen has always offered strictly local produce, sourced in the lagoon’s vegetable gardens as well as from the fishing and hunting activities in the area: with the changing seasons, the land provides seasonal vegetables to serve with the fresh fish, shellfish and game that are cooked following ancient recipes with a modern touch.
Year after year, this philosophy has been rewarded with the most flattering reviews in famous food guides until, in 2013, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin Star, thanks no less to collaborations, both in the restaurant and outside, with Gennaro Esposito, Antonia Klugman and Ivano Mestriner.
